WATCH: Larry Wilmore Loves Trump's Honest Sleaze, Not a Fan of Hillary's Dishonest Folksiness

The Nightly Show host checks in on the candidates' bizarre Iowa antics.

All the major candidates headed to Iowa this weekend to do the routine pandering at the Iowa State Fair. Eating fried pork, wearing farm clothes and giving speeches in front of America flags and barns is part of the election season tradition and while most candidates went for folksy - including the - Trump went straight oligarch and flew in on a helicopter like a boss.

"In an effort to seem authentic, they almost all go out of their way to seem like something they're not" Wilmore said. "Well, almost all of them". Wilmore then cut to a clip of Trump landing a helicopter near the State Fair like some kind of washed-up Bond villain.

"He enters Iowa in his chopper, I mean, there is no pretend in his game at all", Wilmore insisted. "Trump does not run away from his gaudiness. He owns the fact that he owns everything."

Trump enthusiastically offered helicopter rides to some prescreened Iowa children and some equally immature Washington reporters, including Bloomberg's Mark Halperin - of others. But Trump, per usual, would steal the show.

"If I were him I'd be nervous", Wilmore said about Trump's helicopter exploits. "It's not like his hair is impervious to wind".
